Full Time Shop Manager  

We are soon moving to our brand new showroom and we are now on the lookout for

motivated individuals to become part of the Grey & Adler family!

Training and support will be provided to all new team members to help them settle into their roles.

We’re looking for candidates who have the skills that can’t be bought.

  • Selling home furnishings to customers both in store and in their homes

  • Advise customers on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and utilisation of furnishings and equipment, and colour coordination

  • Estimate material requirements and costs, and present designs to customers for approval

  • Measuring/selling of fabrics for curtains, wallpaper, made to measure creations

  • To merchandise and display products in a creative and eye-catching manner

  • To update the shop displays according to season and new products.

  • Confer with customers to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Meeting with customers in their homes and provide interior design advice and guidance

  • Will be responsible for the shop warehouse and re-ordering of stock

  • Organise and prepare online orders for delivery


Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience dealing with fabric books/wallpaper companies and providing interior design advice

  • Management experience distinct advantage but not a must

  • Experience in a sales role is desirable

  • Maltese & English speaking is required

  • Ability to sell and a passion for amazing interiors

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office & ACAD ( not a must )

  • Essential to work quickly and with accuracy

  • Very positive, ‘can do’ attitude at all times especially under pressure

  • Capable of communicating effectively and building rapport with customers and employers

  • Proven ability in satisfying customer needs

  • A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle


This managerial position requires working retail shop hours, occasional buying trips abroad and has an interesting salary package plus commissions and bonuses.  It is an ideal career for an honest person, someone with a passion for interiors who foresees growth in this beautiful industry.  All applications must be sent to and will be treated in strict confidence.
